Weekly Menu {8/31–9/4}
I know it sounds cliche, but I can’t believe it is already September! This year has flown by, and yet it feels like no time has passed at all, especially with Finn turning 5 months old in a few days.
Finn is doing well, by the way. He is 14 pounds and happy, happy, happy. He can roll from his stomach to his back and can get most of the way from his back to his stomach. He has been reaching for just about anything, and if it gets within his reach, he will clamp his little iron fist on it…my hair has suffered many attacks as of late.
Back to the subject at hand—our menu. This week I’m trying to use up things we have in the pantry and from our CSA.
Monday—Mini pizzas. I have store bought dough and a bunch of veggies to pile on top.
Tuesday—Summer Chicken Pot Pie Galettes. I made this last week, too. I ended up with enough of the mixture to make another batch for this week.
Wednesday—Brats, Baked Beans, and Corn on the Cob. Nothing fancy here, but definitely a traditional summer meal.
Thursday—Eating Out. We’re going to the horse races before they close up shop for the season.
Friday—Grilled Chicken and a Three Bean Salad with Fresh French Dressing.
