Each season brings its own nuances, activities, and holidays.
Here you can sift through the archives, season by season.
Spring
Spring is such a lovely, messy season. It brings wet days but also the hope of getting into the garden to prepare for planting seeds. The Easter season reminds us of our Savior’s death and resurrection and points us to the new life unfolding around us as grass shoots appear and buds unfold on trees.
Summer
Oh how I love summer days spent in the sunshine! During the summer, I spend a lot of time tending to my potager garden—planting, weeding, watering. As a family, we also spend time eating al fresco, lounging on the patio while I read from our next read-aloud book, and generally playing games and exploring in the yard.
Autumn
Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the changing colors, the early nights cozied up inside, all of the special foods and transition to winter soups and stews. It’s so beautiful, and I have many posts relating to fall.
Winter
Christmas makes the first part of winter easy to bear with its lights and sparkle and traditions. What about the rest of winter?! Well, there are soups and stews, quiet nights by the fireplace, lamp o’clock, and Valentine’s Day, to name a few.
