Welcome to Golden Flower Goods!
Hi! I’m Cassie. I’m a wife and mother to three. I love Jesus as my Savior and Lord. We’re putting down roots in South Dakota in a big, old farmhouse right in the heart of Sioux Falls.
My days are primarily spent homeschooling my children, menu planning and preparing food for my family, tending my garden (or dreaming about it), and all the myriad tasks that go along with managing our home.
I have been a full-time homemaker for 9 years—since my son was born. Some parts of homemaking, like menu planning and cooking, come more naturally to me than others, like staying on top of deep cleaning my home. Overall, I love my “job”. I will say, though, it hasn’t always been that way. For many years I struggled to really understand and feel the weight of the purpose of what I was doing. As I’ve grown in my understanding of the deep impact I can have on my family and friends through managing my home, cooking food for meals both big and small, intentionally mothering and schooling my children, I see the ways that seemingly small tasks can have a large impact.
I hope to be a source of encouragement to you as well as provide practical resources so that you too can feel confident and content in this calling of homemaking.

Reading
I love to laugh. I’ve seen Pride & Prejudice (the Keira Knightley version) approximately 7 million times. Reading is my favorite hobby, and I almost always have a stack of books awaiting perusal (or on request from the library).
I have a passion for decorating and love to find ways to make my home both beautiful and comfortable. I find that an intentional room or centerpiece is so inspiring and inviting and can really set the tone for both casual dinners at home or to enforce traditions throughout the year.
I enjoy cooking and love finding new recipes to try out. I will try just about anything, but my favorite foods are spaghetti and pizza. Menu planning is a way of life for me, and I love sharing menu ideas for the week as well as for holidays.
I value simplicity and efficiency, and that is a common theme here on the blog. I also love to share resources I’ve found helpful in the hopes of making your life a little brighter, easier, simpler, or maybe just a touch more efficient (because who couldn’t use more of that!)
I’d love to hear from you! If you have a question or would like to discuss a collaboration idea, please contact me via email at hello@goldenflowergoods.com.
Thanks for stopping by!
